Building structures & mausoleums over graves is strictly forbidden in Islam and there is unanimous consensus on this matter from the early imams of the Muslims. The Sufis insist in contradicting the pristine teachings of Islam hence shamefully construct tombs over the graves of their saints and encourage visitation for blessings and for needs to be fulfilled. Shaykh Al Arifi walks through one such mausoleum in Tarim (the centre of shirk & bidah) to highlight this endemic problem around the Muslim world.
