Affordable Housing: Challenges & Way Forward

The issue of affordable housing dominated the past general election, a sign that it is dear to the heart of many Malaysians. Apart from car prices and other basic necessities, owning a house is important, especially to the young professionals living and working in urban areas such as Klang Valley. The challenges facing this monumental task and potential solutions that can help materialise completion of more affordable houses have not been highlighted well.

As the Chairman of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) complemented by his long and diverse experience in ministries and as Member of Parliament, it will be great to learn from the speaker's insights on the big challenges in building affordable houses and the potential ways to overcome it.
